Jonathan Montbach



Jonathan Montbach joined iLabs Medical in 2012 as interim CEO. As CEO, Mr. Montbach has overall responsibility for strategy, business development, operations and intellectual property. He joined iLabs Medical from Seabury Group, where he has been Vice President of Investment Banking and Restructuring since 2009. 

Mr. Montbach has led and managed deal execution teams throughout transactions. He brings 17 years of industry related experience having worked most recently with KPMG as Vice President Special Situations Advisory Group where his clients were involved in a broad range of industries, including gaming, industrials, homebuilders, investment funds, consumer electronics/products, and retail. He has demonstrated success in a range of areas including out of court restructuring negotiations, exchange offers, and distressed acquisition strategies, including analysis of tax attributes (NOLs) and merger synergies.

An honors graduate from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, Mr. Montbach's career includes working with a number of leading consulting and financial services companies such as UBS Investment Bank, Ernst & Young, and AIG, as well as specialized leveraged and distressed investment firms, such as GB Merchant Partners. He is a FINRA representative registered with the Series 7, 79 and 63 and is a CFA charter holder.


Sanford Littwin, M.D.

Co-founder and President of the Board of Managers


Dr. Littwin is Assistant Professor of clinical anesthesiology at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons and attending anesthesiologist at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. He joined St. Luke’s-Roosevelt in 2008 from Montefiore Medical Center. From 2005 to 2007, he was an attending anesthesiologist with the Division of Cardiac Anesthesia at Columbia - Presbyterian Hospital in New York.

Dr. Littwin is PACU Director for Resident Education and specializes in pediatric subspecialty anesthesia and adult cardiovascular anesthesia. He serves on the Finance and Clinical Practice committees of St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital. He is author or co-author of many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in anesthesiology. Hi is an investigator in several ongoing clinical trials. He is also a designer and author of mobile electronic teaching tools and web sites for anesthesiology residents and medical students.

Dr. Littwin is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine. He graduated from the anesthesiology residency program at Stanford University and the cardiothoracic anesthesia fellowship program at Columbia - Presbyterian Hospital in NY, NY.

Barbara McLaughlin

Director of Sales and Marketing


Barb McLaughlin joins iLabs Medical from Smart Source LLC and Integrated Patient Communications. Barb is the Senior Vice President and a Principal in the healthcare division of Smart Source LLC. She is known for her laser focus on powerful personal communications. She is a dynamic speaker with many years of experience in helping healthcare customers across the U.S. improve communication techniques in order to maximize cash flow, automate processes, and influence behavior.

Barb is the inventor and patent holder for the HandHolder™ product and has a unique knowledge of how to help healthcare organizations excel in patient communications, to dramatically improve patient satisfaction – a primary component of the perfect patient experience.

Barb has been a guest speaker at many national healthcare conferences and organizational meetings on the topic of Integrated Patient Communications. She is a well recognized business leader, with an impressive coast to coast client list including 6 of the top 10 hospitals in the U.S. She has published in the European Health Management Journal, the Journal of Management & Marketing in Healthcare, and has numerous published articles for the Health Management Finance Association. She also serves on the Advisory Board of iLabs Medical.


Latchezar Hristov

Co-founder and Vice President of Technology


Mr. Hristov has 17 years of experience as a software application developer, solutions architect, system administrator and project manager in the United States and the European Union. Prior to co-founding iLabs Medical in 2010, he had founded a consulting firm (CS Consult) and co-founded a software development company (iWizards). He was COO of iWizards Ltd. from 2006 to 2009. From 2003 to 2006, he was CTO at iConcepts Inc. in Philadelphia, PA. From 1997 to 2000, he was Senior Developer for international projects at Latona Development. 

To iLabs Medical, Mr. Hristov brings profound technical expertise with Java, DHTML, HTML 5, PHP, SQL, Visual Basic, JavaScript and LotusScript proficiency, as well as experience with HL7, DICOM and X12 standards-based integration and medical structured vocabularies. He also brings cross-platform (Linux, Windows, Sun and Mac) software/hardware support experience, and extensive relationships and project management skills in the software industry in North America, Europe and India. 

Mr. Hristov earned his Master’s degree in Solid state physics from the University of Sofia in Bulgaria.


Tony Tsai, M.D.

Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, Hospital Relations


Dr. Tsai is an attending anesthesiologist at Beth Israel Medical Center, Petrie Division, and is currently attending the Executive M.B.A. Program at Columbia School of Business. Prior to 2008, Dr. Tsai was attending anesthesiologist at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, and Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesia, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York, NY. He is fellowship-trained in regional anesthesia at the New York School of Regional Anesthesia, and has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is a renowned speaker in his field and has presented at over 20 U.S. international meetings and symposia since 2004.

Dr. Tsai is uniquely qualified to guide our relations with provider organizations due to his multiple contacts with hospitals and clinicians in the United States and Asia. He is a member of multiple professional societies and organizations, and is licensed not just in the State of New York but in multiple other States.

He received his BA in Biophysics from Johns Hopkins University in 1996, and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in 2001. Dr. Tsai is a graduate of the anesthesiology residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, NY.
